Rockstar 91' DX floor tom

So I just bought a Rockstar DX 3 piece. "14 by 14" rack, "18 by 16" floor and 22" bass.

The floor tom came without the bottom rim and tension rods, so I bought the rim and thought I was set to play a gig this friday.

Wrong.

The tension rods are specifically 76mm, only used for tama superstar and rockstar 16" depth toms. Obviously it was hard finding the rods, but I did, it just won't arrive in time for my gig.

Are there any ways to get this floor tom at least playable?

The DX was my first kit.

See if you can swap out the inserts from another drum.

Can't you just buy 3" rods? Tama doesn't use metric threads,that I know of.
