Rochefort Drums

Hello guys, as some of you had probably seen, I was trying to sell this 2013 custom Rochefort kit. Since I wasn't having much luck, I took another route and decided to sell my Ludwig Classic Maple kit to fund a vintage kit.

Although I knew the kit sounded good, I never took much time to tune and give them a chance to show me what they are capable of. I'm now falling in love with them. No, they're not vintage, but I'm getting that sound and feel I love out of vintage drums. And since they aren't anything collectable, I've toyed with the idea of adding a cymbal holder for an L-arm I have and a rail mount for the tom.

They have maple/poplar/maple shells with re-rings and have a vintage look, so I think it would look cool and save me less gear to lug to gigs.

It makes perfect sense to me for you to install a rail and shell mounted cymbal arm. The drums have a Slingy-type vintage look. My advice is to go for it.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Ya, I'm going to go for it as soon as I find all the necessary hardware. The kit really sounds good, more like a Rogers than Ludwig, a ton of resonance.

Yeah that kit isn't vintage yet, add the hardware. Decades from now some guy will be on a forum asking "is this factory?"
