R.O.C. Drums - Remember them?!!

Loading...

If you're of a certain age (OK, I'm dating myself!) you may remember these drums from the mid-80's and offered for sale out of San Francisco. I've posted the J-11 and J-13 kits before, but just stumbled onto another J-13 in my MD magazine from April, 1985. Wow, 33 years ago! It's set up differently from the first J-13. I thought I'd scan it and post it here for all to see with fond memories. Enjoy!

I remember the ads in MD as well...

I don't recall those adds specifically, but do remember large sets in that era. I still don't know how anyone can get around sets that large. You must need to be 6'-6" or taller. It's either that or you have to keep jumping up to reach them.

Think of it as a workout program. :D

I'm 5'8". Maybe I could hit that double row of toms without getting off the throne, but definitely not the cymbals.

I do remember these ads! I thought ROC stood for "Republic Of China."

Wow, just what we need for those small space bar gigs! I wouldn't know what to do with all that stuff.
