Retired Philly jazz drummer

Loading...

His name is Norm. I've bought two cymbals from him. His descriptions were right on as well as packing, etc.

Thing to remember....the corridor from Philly to NYC has about 20 million people, and decades of steady jazz guys...

From stinny

I've been stalking some Zildjian vintage hi hat cymbals -- 15" from the '50s -- for some time and keep coming upon the same seller on ebay who has what seems to have an never-ending supply of old Zild jazz hats from that period. He describes himself as a retired jazz drummer fro the Philadelphia area and says he is acting as a broker for other drummer friends who are selling off their old stuff. He writes up almost the exact same back story/description of the hats (with updated weights) with every sale. Anybody know anything about him? He has a great rating and the bidding is almost always breakneck. (Always ends Sunday night too.) I'm curious. (I also never win his auctions.)-- Stin

Good to know, sd. His ebay record is impeccable, his gear seems to be impeccable and if I'm retired and got a basement full of vintage stuff to want to sell, he's got a built-in referral system. We all gripe about ebay but you got to admit, it's working pretty well here.

Smoke signals for drummers. Kinda the more people talk, the less likely we get ripped...

Hmm. He's got another set up this week and bidding jumped quickly to 255. Then over night, it dropped to 142. Not sure how that happens.
