It's somewhat lower or deeper I guess than my other snares. the snare isnt as distinct no matter how tight I adjust it. The bottom of the shell did not have a snare bed in it. I can barley hear the snare wires. I put a new 20 strand snare on it. It had a a old snare that is either plastic or gut cords.

Hey Poppy. If it doesn't have a snare bed, are you going to cut one in?

Heck if I know. I have never done that. I have restored a few that had snare beds. I guess I could study one of them and see what I can do.

I did one recently. It wasn't tough at all. I had never done one, either. I just got tired of having a snare that didn't "snare"...ya know. So, I grabbed a dremel and eyeballed it. That snare is sweeeeet now.

Funny you mention the dremel. This mornin I had to go get a hail damage estimate on my Tahoe at 9;30. Theres a music store just down the street that has a big pile of heads for $5ea. I got a premier field batter for my marchin' snare. and snare heads for my kids drums, 12" I went buy there and they didnt open till ten, 30 more min. So I went pawn shopping. I live and work on the other end

of town. I went and checked on the blue vistlites and went to another and bought a cordless dremel brand new with a bag and two bags of acc. for $20.. I have a corded B&D Wizzard. I was thinkin about a cordless one this morn, while I was buffin' all the green and yellow paint off of the back of some lugs.

Then there it was. I have it all charged up now, cant wait to f**k something up with it! lol, Anyway, on my way home I stopped buy my fav pawn shop and snagged a yamaha dtxpress drum kit for $100. I got it home and fixed one of the input jacks, and it works like a charm. Always wanted some digital's for $100.lol they're goin' for 650 on ebay, but i have no bass drum or hi hat pedals.

Every time you leave the house you buy a drum. Dang!

What can I say? Business is good and I keep finding good deals on drums. I also have 14 guitars lol. My livin room looks like a music store. Drums and guitars are cheaper than a race car, or guns, ane even cheaper than fishing.

Besides I aint married and I take very good care fo my girlfriend, so she dont say a word about what I buy. Plus, musical instruments can always be resold on ebay. I have been selling some NOS leather interior kits on ebay that i've had on my shelf for a few years. I have sold many times more that I have bought on ebay now. I have sold about 20 of them so far for an average of $299 ea. in the last 60 days. I let my ole lady but stuff off of ebay too. My probllem is, I'm runnin' outta room!
