Hi,
I have a kit that I've been told is from the 1960s. There are no badges on any of the four drums, but I identified them as Premier because of the hardware, bass tuning screws, and the bass pedal that said "MADE IN ENGLAND The Premier Drum Co Ltd Wigston, Leicester, England". I bought the kit without a Premier snare drum. The Premier drums are 14" x 20" bass drum (8 lugs), 15" x 16" floor tom (8 lugs), 14" x 14" floor tom (8 lugs), and a 8" x 12" rack tom (6 lugs)-(has been made to mount on cymbal stand, but I will come to that later). The drums have die-cast hoops with slotted tension rods.
Can anyone identify the era of these drums? Does anyone know how I can get badges for the drums that belong to the era of them?
They don't have any wrap or paint or anything like that on them. They are just natural wood. I'm wondering whether there is supposed be a wrap on them and need to know how to go about wrapping them (if they need it - Do they need it?).
