Resale value of restored Ludwig 1965 Black Oyster Pearl

Loading...

Hi - I am new to the form and I'm sure a similar question has been answered before, so bear with me.

I am about to pull the trigger on a restored 1965 Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl "Ringo" set. (14x22 bass / 16x16 floor tom / 13x9 mounted tom / no snare)

It has been professionally rewrapped, and from what I can see, the hardware is far too shiny to be original (but I could be wrong). The shells are in great condition. No structural issues.

It looks and sounds really great!

Assuming the "worst" (mostly new hardware + rewrap), what is this set really worth? What would be a fair price to pay for it?

First off, hello newbie! Second, a few pictures would help. How much are they asking? Personally, I wouldn't pay a whole lot for a re-wrap, even black oyster pearl.

Reproduction oyster black pearl adds no value to a kit, and neither does new hardware.

Pictures are definitely necessary.
