Reproduction ludwig Lugs

Loading...

Is there such a thing as reproduction ludwig lugs?

Everyone seems to have repro slingy lugs, I found some repre yammy lugs, I found tube lugs, beavertail lugs, single lugs, double lugs, long lugs, short lugs, chrome lugs, gold lugs, black lugs (no white though lol) Why the hell cant I find repro luddy lugs. I am about to finish my 66 luddy marchin' snare. I bought some lugs from a forum member. I had bought some slingy luds from him and they were fabulous and a badge and muffler. I bought some luddy lugs from him and they were a bunch of junk. I found some luddy cs accent toms on ebay and the guy said the hole spacing as 1 1/4" I got em and the hole spacing was a c**t hair larger than a inch. But I took the hidious wrap on of them and they are a flawless pair of tobaco fade toms with suspension mounting system brackets attached. *sigh* This drum isnt gonna be worth much either. lol. At this point I would love to find some decent lugs for this drum. The mounting hole spacing is 1 1/4" or about 32 mm. chime in!

There are no "repro" Ludwig lugs available because ludwig holds a copyright/patent on them so they can't be repro'd, at least until the copyright expires and is not renewed.

Why would someone part out an accent tom to begin with? DOH

I know you can get accent lugs for less than the classic lugs through ludwig still. And if you need Rocker/Standard lugs, they claim they still have some stocks of those around too.

If the hole spacing woulda been correct I would've put them om my marchin' snarea and sold the rest on eflay. The Accent CS Custom, tobaco fade, laqured, 10 + 12" toms are flawless. they had blueflam wrap over this fabulous finish, lol idiots! This dam marchin snare is gettin under my skin. I think with a business mans mentality and *deep sigh* Thank you for CHIMIN

I don't know about you, but I sure don't have the kind of cash needed to get it from ludwig! LOL!

A digression, but... I actually INVESTIGATED having Rogers B & B repros made with some machinists locally...becasue the JP2 Creations ones were so pricey, at $25/ea...BUT...

...the best price I got from someone else for fabrication was $40/ea.....

....another brilliant idea, foiled by REALITY :(

Then again, Popppy, you probably know far more machinists...
