$30 seems like a screaming deal. What if you were to put them in a wash machine with vinegar and a little detergent? Or maybe borax. I would certainly try a few things because they are so cheap.

Try placing an unscented dryer sheet inside each bag and then zip them up. Leave for about a week. I used this trick on a trombone case that had been stored in an attic for over 20 years and it worked wonders.
