Need some help on this.....
I recently picked up a 1913'ish CG Conn Snare that is either NoB or CoB.
It has some dirt and light pitting on the shell and I want to shine it to bring it back to life.
I've done a lot of restorations on shells but never to a NoB or CoB and I really don't want to ruin this drum due to it's potential beauty and I have been searching for one for a long time.
I am fine with leaving the inside of the shell "as is" and the lugs and tension rods have already cleaned up beautifully with Rustaway and a light polishing compound. I do have a 4" buffing wheel I can use. But I was not sure if I do that what rouge would I use?
So experts, please give me some guidance here.
Here are some pictures of the shell.
