removing chrome plating on hoops

Thought I'd put the question out there to the experts and see if any one knows of a chemical or procedure for completely stripping chrome plating off an old hoop.

Sandblasting does the trick.

Thank You. I hadn't thought of sandblasting. I can probably get a half day rental at my local tool rental shop and give it a go in the back yard.
