Removing a sticker from a 60's Rogers drum

Loading...

I recently found a nice vintage Rogers kit, and am in the process of cleaning it up. Can someone recommend a method to remove this old Grateful Dead sticker? I'm scared to use usual methods like a razor or goo gone.

Just peel the sticker away. Any residue left can be removed with the Goo Gone or WD-40 without hurting the wrap.

Use a hair dryer "gently" and it should get most of the glue also when you peel it off. Good luck, John

The sticker was on so good that it couldn't be peeled, only tiny bits would come off. I ended up using a razor very, very carefully, followed by goo gone. It worked well - there is no sign that it was ever there.
