Rebuild/restore pedals, throw-offs, etc etc...

Hi!

I used to be really active on the VDF, then about five years ago life changed. Like it does.

But recently retired, I have time now to reengage with a craft I love

For Speed King, Gretsch, Slingerland, Ghost, Zoomatic, whatever pedal or hi hat rebuild or restoration, I'd like to take it on. I used to have a pretty good reputation for meticulous work -- and that's because I really enjoy the craft. (Pedals were "Fultonized") (;)

Speed Kings are a specialty -- and all of them need it! The minimum job is to completely clean the towers, springs, bearings-- all mechanicals --, and then replace the squeaking pedal hinge with nylon/composite material. Honestly? Better than new.

If needed they can be modified, too. I once modified a Gretsch to fit the larger bass hoops on the house kit at a famous Tokyo jazz club!

Each of them is done for maximum mechanical and aesthetic results. Cost? A basic mechanical cleaning and hinge upgrade is about forty bucks. For the full monte- original Hammerite re-paint, polish, TLC to the max? About eighty. To replace parts, a very fair cost. Customize?

Why not?![/FONT]

Please send a PM thru VDF, or call 269-200-3019 so we talk about what you'd like done. You will not be disappointed. If so, I'll make it right. Guaranteed.

Very highly recommended! Ben is THE MAN when it comes to putting old Speedkings right again. He worked his magic on my old Speedking years ago and it still works like a dream. Smooth as silk and silent. Worth every penny if you have an old Speedking that you love, but has turned into a squeak monster. Again, Ben is a highly recommended seller... A-1 in my book.

John - thanks for the endorsement! I just found a file labeled PurdieShuffle SK. But there were no photos!

Thanks again....

LOL - It was a Speedking... you need pictures? :D

I still use the pedal everyday. Never a problem, you did a great job on it. It's why I'm endorsing you all over the site. Hope you get a few orders out of it. Whoever sends you their pedals will be happy they did.

I too will vouch for the quality of work Mr. Fulton does on Speed Kings. He's done three of them for me and I'm still waiting for the first one to start chirping.

Might be in touch again, I picked up another squeaker for five bucks at Dale's indoor yard sale a couple months ago.

Believe it or else!
