Micro,
DOH Arrrgh! That original Ebony wrap looks way, way, too pristine to strip it off and replace it with that translucent WMP. WMP and solid black are two of my favorite finishes for Rogers drums (black is just so classy like a grand piano and WMP just oozes a vintage vibe). I wouldn't remove that perfectly fine Ebony wrap just to change the look of the set (even if it is just a player's kit).
How about picking up some bare orphan shells and re-wrapping those in WMP? Then switch all the hardware out and keep those beautiful Ebony shells intact. I've stripped unsalvageable wrap off Rogers shells, and all I have to say is prepare yourself and have a good heat gun ready. Rogers wrap does not want to leave the shell willingly.
So if you want to go the route of orphan shells, PM me. I have spare Fullerton 12", 13" 16"FT and 24"bass shells just sitting around waiting for a purposeful life. I'll even trade you my Cleveland WMP 22" bass shell for your Fullerton 22" Ebony shell just to prevent the tragic disfigurement....

Let us know what you decide, and post pics if you end up re-wrapping.
