Re-sticking Paper Tags to Metal Shell

"Is it fixable?"

The short, painful answer to that one is, no. Sorry, the only thing that will remove crazy glue is nail polish remover and that will FUBAR the tag and the ink on it completely. At this point you need to do no further harm. Leave it as it is. Some dime-store white Elmer's glue would have done the trick and preserved the tag. I know - you wanted to get it done, but sometimes immediate gratification can be your worst enemy. Sorry it went south on you. No biggie, it's just a tag after all. If it's a good looking and sounding drum that's all that matters.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

That's interesting to know. I always thought it was plain old wood glue they used on shells and etc.....

Allan sorry to hear about the tag man! Yep SG not the best for that job. I'm with John leave it as is. Tag is nice for ID and such but the sound of that drum is really the star! :)

Glenn.

Rubber cement doesn't saturate the paper like white glue or other types of adhesives.

I use this....

Coats evenly and no saturation into the paper.
