Chromeo:Wow...that finish IS gorgeous. One of the nicest MIJ I have seen. What you should do is send a pic to Bum Wrap, and have them make you a replica sheet to wrap a floor tom. It would be the closest you will get. VERY cool color! That set would be great for a surf band. You know, that wrap is SO nice, I think if it were my set, I'd take all the 1960s MIJ hardware off it, and replace it with quality hardware. All 3 drums are center lug, which would really keep the costs down. I bet you can find quality USA lugs with the same hole spacing.

Thanks for the info. it's good to know. Here's some photos I took outdoors. It sure is a cool looking wrap, but the kit has since sold.

Kenwood:WOW! What a display, I'm speechess!! I'm just curious...in your collection do you have a set in the rare Black/Purple Diamond Pearl? The only MIJ name I've seen it on is "Noble". looks like this:

Hello Retrosonic, Yes the Sakae built Noble kit in black/purple diamond pearl is one of the rarest birds in my flock. In fact I think that photo you posted is one of the original seller's pics As I recognize the large crack in the wrap, I struggled some with buying the drums because of that crack, but felt the rarity of them trumped the big boo boo
