**RARE** Big R New Mahogany with 14"x20" BD, 4 pc set with '67 COB Dyna-Sonic snare

**RARE** Big R New Mahogany with 14"x20" BD, 4 pc set with '67 COB Dyna-Sonic snare. This is a somewhat rare find as the Big R set has a 14x20 bass drum (real nice shape too, inside and out), 8x12 ride tom and a 16x16 floor tom. Included is a 7 line 1967ish COB Dyna-Sonic snare 5x14. Serial # is 6622. A few things about this snare: The Good: chrome is beautiful, parts seem all original, new Evans top and bottom heads, original snare rail, clock face, all in working order, sounds really wonderful. The Bad: Some yo-yo named Mark attempted to etch his name on the side of the drum. It's faint, but it's there. You can make it out if you look at it from a correct angle. Can't see it looking directly at it-see pics. The rest of the drums: 1975 or 76 Big R "Celebrity Kit" in New Mahogany. I will sell this to a member here for $625.00 plus shipping.

14x20 Big R BD S/N D601066, new Evans 2 ply Emad batter, new Remo smooth side reso with Remo logo removed and Rogers logo put on.16x16 floor tom, S/N D600238, with external Rogers muffler. New Remo clear pinstripe on top, new Remo Diplomat clear on bottom. These have the transitional Swivo-Matic hex legs (not Memriloc). I repaired the seam lift on this wrap, there is still a very minor lift in one area, but hardly noticeable. 8X12 tom, S/N D31248, with external Rogers muffler. New Remo clear pinstripe on batter, new Remo Diplomat clear on reso. All drums are the beautifully sounding Rogers 5 ply maple/birch with re-rings. All parts appear original except possibly some tom tension rods and some tom rims? I have dis-assembled every drum, cleaned, polished, waxed and re-assembled them. They are ready to play and are an easy gigging set as they are the smaller "Celebrity" set with the rock solid Memriloc hardware. There are 2 boxes, shipping will cost anywhere from $125.00 to $255 depending on where you live. I WON'T ship international. Message me for a quote for sure. Thanks for your interest and God Bless!

Darren,

Nice set. It never occurred to me before that I have never seen a 20” bass in the memriloc era.

Good price!

Good luck with the sale.

Hey Josh! Thanks, it sounds fantastic too! Yes, they made only a few 20" Memriloc BD in that era. I had heard most or all were special order. I always loved the Memriloc. So easy to break down and get it right next set up, and the 20" is light and easy to gig with. God Bless my friend...
