I put together this fund raiser for JDRF, and it picked up a life of it's own. I had to organize a committee, we had over 50 prizes we raffled off some worth in excess of $500 each. I had a well known Chicago DJ make an appearance, I had 4 bands, free pizza, laser light show, around 700 plus people showed up, it was a wild night, but we brought in some serious money for JDRF. everyone says this should be an annual event......the only hickup was the head liner band I brought in, had a half a semi of gear, and it took forever to do a sound check, but I learned from this experience.
