I'm happy to hear that this turned out well for you. I get along really well with Jim! Unfortunately, he was not able to come through on the promised Slingerland push buttons for the floor tom brackets. After months of promises...more than 4 months...Jim refunded my money with a personal check. Not even a short note to say why!

My guess is that it's becoming way too expensive for Jim to have many of his parts manufactured. A big portion of what Jim shows on his website are no longer available, yet the site isn't updated to reflect this.

I'm really glad to know that he had the pull rod for you!

I've purchased the 21-inch Rogers FT legs from Jim. So much nicer than what was originally produced. They are chrome plated, and the chrome is like the chrome that was used on the other Rogers parts. Brilliant and consistent. I notice chrome in particular because I worked in a plating factory after school as a teenager (way back). We made $1.60/hr to wire and dunk. Meanwhile, the guys in the buffing shop made $7.50. The buffing was the whole key. Screw that up and the piece had to go all the way back to the beginning, be stripped and re-pated. That was a significant loss for the owner. Whoever Jim found to do the plating was a top notch shop.

I'm thinking the whole business is more effort than it is worth now and he has lost interest.
