Ok old drums I know, cymbals not so much. I by dumb luck stumbled on a great sounding set of 14" Zildjian hats and 20" ride that came with a 50's Krupa Deluxe kit I picked up last year. The hats weigh 788 & 780g and the ride 2235g. The stamps look like just regular old Zildjian stamps to me and I'm pretty sure the cymbals were original to the kit in the 50's. I don't know the difference in an old A an old K or a brass trash can lid, all I know is these things sound great and I would like to find another set if possible but I don't know what to look for. Any help would be appreciated.

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Old A's '50's-'60's are ubiquitous (particularly '60's ones - you cannot turn around w\o stumbling over one). Just a matter of recognizing the few telltale differences in the stamp. PM me and I'll e-mail you an article explaining it all. You can use C'lst or eFlay as long as you keep within certain desirable weights (14" - under 900g, 15" - under 1000g, 16" - under 1300g, 18" - under 1600g, 20" - under 2300g, 22" - under 2500g, are my rules of thumb) and you have about a 90% shot of ending up w\a good one or four.[/COLOR]

Thanks Jaye! I picked up on Ebay exactly what I was looking for and because of what you sent me I was able to look through some cymbals and find some good deals!
