Question about Pearl Custom Z drums

Loading...

Hey guys. I have a vintage Pearl Custom Z drum kit with the champagne birds eye maple finish and the sizes of 8x8, 10x10, 12x12, 14x14, 16x16, a 22x18 bass drums and a Pearl Brass shell snare. The drums are in good condition and come with a massive drum rack.

I've recently bought a new drum kit thats sized more to my liking. I bought this kit years ago and am looking at selling it. Now I honestly wouldn't know what this would be worth now. I am looking for some suggestions from some guys on here that know the market better than me.

I would either sell it as a whole 8pc or maybe split it up because i have 2 kick drums example, the 8, 10, 14, 22 and 12, 14 snare, 16, 22. It might be easier to do it that way.

If i could get some feedback that would be great!

"Worth" is very hard to determine because it so subjective. I can tell you that those drums are pretty hard to find with not many around. But that does not equate to being valuable. The 8 and 14 (if it's a legged floor and not a hanger) are pretty sought after but again not necessarily valuable. There is a guy on DFO that has a kit for sale and has had it for sale for a long time. His price is high but there is also not much of market for those drums. Got any pics?

Looking for a late 80's to early 90's, preferably Arctic White Pearl MLX 14x14 floor tom.

alexwaston! Welcome to the forum! +1 with what Atlantaskins has said. I have the Pearl catalog showing the first year these beautiful drums came out. At first, only available in the Champagne finish and the LARGE square-dimension toms! Again, rare does not always equate to being valuable monetary wise!
