as some of you may remember, I have 3 grandsons, Jude 12, Ryan 9 and Donny 7. I have often bragged that they would be my personal 3pc band someday. Well...it has begun. here the past cupl months when the boys come hang-out at gramma robyn's, they have been getting into playing "band concert" with gramma's music equipment. I have taught Jude the basics of the sound board for mics and a music source. Ryan picked the guitar as his instrument. I have a lit'l guitar that I tuned to open E that he likes, so I have showed him the basics of it. Donny only wants to sing, no instrument. and Jude on drums. which is doing pretty good learning. he has done it all on his own. he pulls up a "how to play" (whatever) video and follows along. they have been working on TnT, back in black and We will rock you. Ryan n Donny have alot of work ahead of them, lol but Jude is catching on pretty good. on their "break" from practice, Jude and I were talking, he has informed me that he wants a real drum set. the kids set they have is too small for him and it sounds really bad. his words. I told him he can't have the Ludwigs yet, which are what I have set up, but he can have the Mapex kit. he was happy with that. we have made plans for while he is on break from school to get the kit to his house, cleaned and set up. I can't wait to share this time with Jude. Very proud gramma here.
