SOLD!!

Okay, just because I don't feel like dealing with ebay - new low price: $76 out the door....

Maybe you've noticed, but when I go to sell something, I don't hold out for the last few bucks. I'm probably deflating the market, but only for the ebay crowd.

It's the darker gray Hammerite paint, rather than the silver-ish "stock" color, coated with clear polyurethane with the theory that it would protect the paint from abrasions...at least a little. New ideas? I put a coat of texture paint underneath the paint on the bottom of the plate, then added a clear coat of "plasti-dip," thinking it might help slowing any forward motion once it's in place. Also, clear plasti-dip on the tabs that fit under the hoop, because that paint ALWAYS gets marfed up, and this is an idea to protect it.

All the parts, including the inside of the tower where the springs and plunger work have been obsessively cleaned, along with the springs and plunger. New connecting strap with nylon bushings on both attachments there (with slick new Teflon coating. Woooo.....). Nylon bushings in heel/frame hinge for stability. I use nylon as it's meant to be "sacrificial;" in other words, it's meant to wear out before the metal gets worn out of round again - and they're easier to replace, but it'll be a long time before they wear out. We'll probably wear out long before they do.

You'll see in the photos there's a slight "chip" (I don't know what to call it) on the left side of the heel plate. It came to me that way. It's smooth, won't expand, pretty harmless.

I didn't have the standard washer to put on the bottom of the footboard to secure the heel plate. But I DID have a drilled out bearing cap. Pretty classy. Also used Allen screws for spring tension adjusters (1/4 allen wrench; I can send one if you want it). I think it's more practical, but I can put in the original screws if you prefer. They will be used, but they look good in general and are perfectly functional. The threads inside the tower have been chased and cleaned.

Hate to brag, but I did a helluva job on this.

$70 + 6 (your half of shipping for US Priority Mail flat rate). Overseas? Please contact me, and we can work it out.
