Hi all, I've just bought a Fibes snare, mind you I had to buy it piece by piece. I bought the shell + lugs with a lot of snares and I bought the hoops, strainer, butt plate and wires separately. I'm hoping I didn't overpay. I'm probably going to sell it on now that it's fully original and was wondering what would be a ballpark price on a drum like this now fully original and complete. It's a 5.5 x 14 black acrylic shell (black beauty?) with the of Martin Organization Nazareth Pennsylvania badge. Any information would be great!

None showing up in Ebay sold listings right now, but I've got a couple of these Fibes acrylic snares from the same era (the solid black were called 'Black Beauty') and I'd say $400 - $450 assuming it's in very good shape.
I'd suggest you keep it.... they have a truly unique sound when tuned right.

Thanks for the reply. I might just keep it for myself after all. I can't wait to get it set up so I can finally hear it. The strainer, hoops etc. are in the post. I'll take some photos of the snare when it's fully complete.
