Does this price seem fair or out of line?
Thanks!
Have seen for $400 lately. That looks to be in great condition and still has the rail system intact.
A one owner drum and pro percussionist does add to the value perhaps. At that price I do not think it will fly away quickly, so see if he will negotiate a bit.
That guy cannot count. Approx. date of 1970. FIVE line drum. Price is more in line with a Seven Line drum.

For sure!
That's a 5 line. Although it looks to be in excellent condition. If it has a nice case with it, $500 is a good starting point. I typically add $50 for a case, if it's nice.
A 5 line in excellent condition can go for north of $350. This one looks nice.
Perhaps a schooling and an offer to the seller is in order.
Good Luck!
I think the seller confused his 26XXX serial number for a 26XX number which would be 1963 on most dating guides. This is definitely a very nice Fullerton Dyna 1970-71, but what is confusing is the pic showing the bottom hoop. The snare gate guards on the snare hoop appear to be the twisted version rather than folded:

Pre-1965 twisted guard .......1966 folded guard
The twisted guards disappeared around 1965, so could this snare be comprised of some non-original replacement parts?
Still, a very nice, clean Dyna.
Mike
