Premier/slingerland restoration opportunity

Loading...

Guys , I can buy this lot of gear for fairly cheap (about 200euros) and am wondering if it would be worth it.

As far as i can tell there is a lot of rust on all the tension rods and rims but it looks like there could be a nice kit at the end of it.

The pedal looks fairly rusty too.

What ya think ? worth the 2 hours drive to pick it up ? i have little experience in restoring drums.

thanks

michael

I can't tell much from the small picture, but if that's a COB Slingerland snare hiding back there (USUALLY identified by 3 lines running around the middle circumference of the shell, thats a good start! Looks like older Premier shells, and I always loved those long slim lugs. I love fixing up drums, so I would vote yes, depends on the amount of work you would need to put into it vs. how much time you want to put into them.
