Premier Projector Kit Restoration

This is my third restoration kit project. Picked these Premiere Resonators up from Craigs List for $75. Thinking mid 70's. Will keep the original wrap for now as it is pretty good on all drums. Polychromatic Red. Some scuffs and minute things here and there. A little rash on the 13 but look fine from a few feet. Have all the top tom parts. It is missing all the bottom hoops, tension rods, Bass resonator shell, and one bass drum hoop. I am thinking of going with new standard tension rods until I can find or purchase remaining slotted rods I need. Also has a cymbal mount on bass. Going to put Remo coated white ambassadors on them.

The toms have the resonator shells in them. Tricky getting them out and back in. There is a certain procedure to it. Sizes of drums are 14"x24" 9"x13" 10"x14" 15"x16"

The first pic is the sellers pic and the others are after I got them home and started cleaning them up. Finished the restoration and what a great sounding kit this is. Played it out once in a jazz setting and they performed excelently. Found a nice Premier Olympic steel snare to go with them on ebay.

Nice looking kit - a lot like my Slingerland kit when I got it - no bottom heads on my toms, no resonator head on my BD - just a basic drum kit. Your tom mount looks like my Ludwig set up, too. All I need now is a front hoop for my BD & it'll be back to complete. thanks

Hello,

I believe I am restoring the same drum kit as you. Can we discuss the hardware that your drums came with?

Looks great!

Sure, you can message me. The drums are actually Resonators, not Projectors. I accidentally posted

them under the wrong name.
