I own that same exact drum. I used it in 97 when l was touring with Junior Brown at the time he was signed with Curb Records and getting popular. I used it on a ton of shows and it never let me down. I really like the throwoff because it is quick and easy to use. One night while on tour in Texas Buddy Miles showed up and filled in using my Premiere snare. I had him autograph the head afterwards and pulled it off and put it away. Shortly after Buddy set in he and l ended up both playing for Junior through the year. Buddy would leave and go on tour to Europe playing blues and his stuff and l would pick up when he would leave. We became really good friends. He was a great drummer and a great guy. During that time frame Junior pulled in another guy by the name of Mitch Mitchell. I was pretty blown away getting to play and meet those guys and going back and forth due to schedules. And that Premiere got one heck of a workout.
