Hey all,
Anyone know where I can get Premier grey shimmer wrap for a 16" tom, circa 1968?
Premier offers a blue shimmer on their latest sets,
Thanks in advance

Did you contact a drum wrap company on this??
You can try Gary at Precision Drum at least to get an expert opinion
on finishes.

FYI - we can get Premier blue shimmer.
Close? But not close enough......?
Ah, you're such a drumwrap tease!
The other drums show no wear--just the floor tom is peeling.
The grey wrap would eliminate the need to do ALL the drums.
Gary sent me a nice sample of a 60s Oyster black..pretty stuff but not the metallic sort of thing like the shimmer.
I may go for re-wrapping this kit like my other older set; in BDP.
BTW, this grey 'Premier' is actually an American Beverely set.
I'll be thinking about that blue shimmer..and please post anything if you hear any of the grey shimmer showing up. I noticed the blue shimmer on the Premier site.
I found a UK supplier for black pearl, short supply but it's as near as dammit the same a the old Prem stuff.

Would hugely appreciate if you could direct me to source for the Premier Blue Shimmer as I have a set of 68 Premiers 8x12, 8x13, 14x14, 16x16 and 14x22 that have the Blue Shimmer wrap. Have been looking for a source for 5 years now without luck. A couple of the drums need to be re wrapped and I am desparate to keep the original finish!
I live in Toronto, Canada
Thanks,

I'm afraid we can no longer get the blue shimmer, Premier only supplied it for a couple years and all stocks disappeared when they closed the Blaby Road factory and shipped all the tooling overseas.
Sorry!
