Premier Aqua Sparkle Drums

Loading...

I sold my Premier gold sparkle kit and bought this one in an aqua sparkle finish. It had a modern tom mount installed on the kick and one on the tom. I removed the one on the tom and will eventually remove the one on the kick.

Does anyone know what that original mount on the kick is for?

Thanks.

Famous cool set!

What you planning with heads for 11-7/8" tom and 16-5/16" for FT ?

It seems that REMO is still doing them without troubles?

Cheers,

George.

Ya, Remo does make heads that will fit vintage Premier drums, but just for the rack tom it will cost about $30 with shipping and a few weeks to deliver.

Whoosh!... it's not cheap...

In that case, you have to DIY !! -- it's not as difficult as it might seem!

I'm not worried about it, the only one that needs to be changed is the rack tom and it doesn't sound bad.

Here's a few more pictures with a Slingerland chrome over steel snare I just bought.

I think those sets came with their version of a Swivomatic arm. Decent working piece as I recall with a rachet joint in the middle.

Ya, the the gold sparkle kit I owned had one of those, it worked pretty good, but where it was mounted on the kick made it impossible to get it placed in a comfortable position.

I like that aqua sparkle, nice looking kit.

Always wondered why Premier had the joined lugs on the mounted toms and the bass, but didn't do it on floor toms? Messes with my need for uniformity! But I still really like them.
