My 16 year old son is the drummer in the family. His setup is a 1971 Premier B303 kit in aqua shimmer(12/14/16/20). The kit is mahogany with beech re-rings(as is his 2001). He has a COA 2000 snare, and a 2001 aqua shimmer snare. We absolutely love these snare drums. As most of you are aware, the inner mechanisms are prone to distorting/snapping over time. I'm well aware of how they work, and what(what not) to do with them, but at nearly 50 years old they have significant miles on them.
I'm in need of replacement parts and found a website called The Marching Band Shop(UK) which has some parts for sale. Curious if any of you have used them or if the parts are direct re/re for a vintage 2000/2001. Please let me know!
