I just bought this Premier 2000 snare. Any help on dating what year it was made? I assume it is aluminum and not brass because of the way it is pitting/etc. Any info would be appreciated...thanks!

Definitely Aluminum. Have you looked for a stamp on the inside of the shell. Premier stamped their wooden shells with a four digit date code. I would assume they did the same for the metal ones.

What is the serial number on the badge? That could help narrow it down.

I have a similar one from 1974. The date is stamped on the inside but not so distinctly.
