I have a Premier kit with the same wrap. Those old Acetate wraps can not be brought back. They were notorious for fading/bleaching out, mostly from being exposed to direct sunlight, chances are yours was in a store window for a while.

Newer wraps are a bit too thick for proper head fitting. I'll suggest just cleaning them and living with it OR seek out an Air Brush artist who can work with glitter/sparkle and have him match (the color that's under the flesh hoop once you take the heads off) and light spray a fresh coat on.

Aquamarine Sparkle is near and dear to my heart as my first kit was that color. It is notorious for turning a sickly yellow, followed by a dead fish grey and all the while developing some nasty liver spots. If you really want to spend some $$ on these you can get Andy at drummaker.com to provide a custom color wrap. He has a couple of good aquamarine sparkle options that possibly look better or at least as good as the original.

I bought an identical set to my first one a couple of years ago and the finish is in pretty great shape except for the kick drum. It looks pretty good but the finished has severely cracked across the shell at o e of the spurs. I have considered re-wrapping it several times because of that but have this far decided to let it be. If I were to re-wrap, I would use Drummaker's color match process.

I've never seen this wrap in person, but the stock turquoise glitter at drummaker.com looks like it might be a pretty good match:

tnsquint, have you had a chance to compare the turquoise glitter to the original? (Beautiful drums, by the way!)

If head fit is a problem with a new wrap, Aquarian American Vintage heads might do the trick. They're a little wider to accommodate larger old-style shells. I have them on my Club Dates and love them.

Kits:
1950s Gretsch Name Band in Midnight Blue Pearl (13/16/22/14sn)
1965/66 Ludwig Club Dates rewrapped in Black Diamond Pearl (12/15/20)

Thanks for the compliment. The new turquoise glitter is a very pretty wrap but it is not as saturated nor as blue as the original aquamarine sparkle. It is rather similar once the original wrap has begun to fade but not so close to the original.
