Always gotta be a clown :D
I agree, please post a price.
You can always haggle through PM !
I didn't post a price on the hi hat cymbal because I simply have no idea what to ask! But, you said $60 is a 'darn fine price'...so I guess that will work.
I've sold quite a few things through CL. Usually when its stuff I just don't want, I will put "make offer and come get". It's not that I am trying to start some auction or something, its just I really want it gone. So long as the offer is realistic, I'm usually ok with letting it go to the first offer.
Anyway, my 2 cents.
Keep Drummin'!

I appreciate your reply Kevin, Don't take it personally.
Not posting prices just seems dodgy. I really think it harms rather than helps the seller make the sale, and it's just frustrating to me to have to ask in the first place.
i posted prices!
but no one's bought my stuff yet..
:(

Sorry Nailfoxx.... man, I wasn't even talking about your cymbal ad specifically.
You're a long-time active member that's been around here a heckuva lot longer than I have.
I mean the "Whenever I've got something to sell, I'll drop by the VDF and troll for a sucker." type dudes.
You see them every so often.... post a pic or two with an "email me for pricing" message.
I apologize... I should have been more specific from the get go... my bad.
Kevin
No, it's cool, no harm done...just this annoying twitch!
I know the people you are referring, and I will agree 9 times of 10 that there should be a price listed. But, when someone has several 'odd' pieces to move, such as a 60's Rogers hi hat clutch or 10 wing nuts for Slingy flat base cymbal stands...there's no way to know a fair value on that stuff!
I work with another drummer here in town, he recently decided to sell like 30 high end Sabian cymbals. He sent me the list first and told me to make offers on anything I wanted. Well, I waited too long and check in later, he had moved all the pieces in a week or two. He posted make offer, and pretty much took whatever the first offer was on the cymbals. There were some very happy drummers around town for sure!!
But anyway, no offense taken from anyone. Still like the site!
