Please help - Need RRP for '69/'70 Zildjian & Paiste cymbal(s) & gong

Does anyone have access to a ’69/’70 Zildjian catalog, or even better, a Paiste catalog with pricing information? I’d like to determine a ballpark RRP of a Paiste gong and an 18” crash from that period.

I’m researching an episode which happened to me back then. I wanted to buy a gong (you know, ‘cause Bonham had one…). If memory serves, I don’t think Zildjian was offering one, but I believe Paiste was. A 36 incher. I nearly passed out when quoted a price… somewhere around 6 grand… THEN.

WTF! Apparently, one of the constituents in the alloy was gold. Of course, yes, it would have to be gold...Laughing H
