This snare came with the beat up Ludwig set I bought maybe 25 years ago. At the time I thought it seemed like a pretty good snare, but I was a neophyte then, and I'm really not much more knowledgable now:). I'm guessing it's '70s or early '80s - anyone have any more info?

By the way, why no love for Pearl snares? I was looking on eBay for another one of these to try and help identify it, and I saw lots of decent looking Pearl snares for really cheap prices, including some closed auctions with very low starting bids (like $20 or $30) that no one had bid on. Is it that these snares are so common that there's no interest in them, or is there something else about them that makes them less desirable? I'm just curious.
