Hello,

Sorry you have had to wait so long for a reply - VDF isn't what it used to be so many of us don't visit here often.

Pearl Exports are a mid- to lower-range model of drums.  You will hear people say that they are the best selling drums in the U.S.  They may very well be, but it's not because they are outstanding drums.  It is mostly because they are (or were) relatively inexpensive compared to upper level drums, and because Pearl marketed them extensively and aggressively.

That being said, many drummers absolutely love their Export drums and gig them regularly.  I would value the drums themselves in the range of $300 to $400.  The cymbals are a mix of lower-level stuff and a few goodies.  I'd say maybe another $300 for them.

There is a saying, though, and that is that your drums are worth what someone else will pay for them.  If you want to get a better idea of what your drums are worth, visit Reverb.com.  You can search for a similar set of drums to get an idea of what others are asking.  Better yet, you can search there for SOLD items, so you can see what people actually paid.  Not all Pearl Exports are the same.  You may need to do some research to find out the drum shell ply layup to see the construction method and meterials used on your particular drums.  This can be a tedious and frustrating process, so be prepared.  By the way, you can also perform the above research on Ebay.

Or, you can simply advertise them locally (Craigslist, FB marketplacd, etc) and see what you can get for them.  Or maybe donate them to a school, church, or other worthy recipients.

I hope this helps you out a bit.  Good luck!
