Are the toms wood-fiberglass too?

I recall that the toms are typically all fiberglass.

As far as fiberglass drums go, they definitely have their fans. In comparison to the luan shells that were in the import drum prior to that I'd say they were better, louder, had better sustain.

They are wood shells Fibreglass lined.... I had 4 piece set in smaller sizes of the earlier series 22,16,13,12.. (Powermate kit), same shells but earlier tom mounts.. Well made drums but heavy dense shells. IMO not all that loud .. I did not like the metal BD hoops that added a mysterious metallic ring so replaced them with wooden hoops (much better). At the time I was working for the Pearl distributor in OZ. When I left the company I sold the kit. I had no desire to ever purchase another Wood Fibreglass kit..
