Well, I was at the desk working ... an email popped up that said PayPal has released 10 dollars for a "Gift" in iTunes. Seconds later, another email popped up from PayPal notifying me that I had released 20 bucks to iTunes. I jumped on two phones and my Mac. While I was awaiting the PayPal rep, two more emails chimed in ... one for 50 and another for 20 dollars.
Long story short ... within fifteen minutes we managed to lockdown the account, reverse the monies back into my account, transfer all monies from that account into another account, close that account, trace the individual that perpetuated this fraud, and put the FBI on the road enroute that schmuck. I had two phones going and the Mac burning up the web, but we got him and I didn't lose a penny.
Not sure I will ever put up another PayPal account, but it's good to know that they can move fast and will work VERY hard to help you. Say what you will about PayPal and our government, but when the chips were down, they listened to every directive I gave them. They never questioned anything I told them to do. This ended well ... not all do, but this one did.
I was very impressed with all involved.
