64 is the new 44

I feel like I am still in my 40’s

After all of our years playing, why toss that experience simply because we're "old?" Man if you are blessed with health---go for it!! I'm glad for you. Keep rockin' & let us know how that first gig goes!

Congrats on the gig at 64. Does tie nicely to McCartney. Curious minds want to know: How old are the rest of the guys in the band? Are you actually old, or are you playing with your contemporaries?

I took a gig once at 39 (now 67). I was the oldest and definitely felt it. Next nearest was 33 and the bassist was 29. It consisted of lyric mostly written by the 33-year guitarist and the rest assembled as a band. Not edgy by any means, but down a bit different vein and so it didn't require anything remembered.

In conversations from time-to-time, they would discuss music that I had not been up on at all and simply because they were that much younger. I hadn't stayed connected for some time. Thus the question about the ages of the rest of the band.
