old Zildjians on old stands...(lots of pics)

Here are the cymbals that came with my late uncle's '61-'62 Gretsch RB kit. According to my mom he was 8 when he got the kit new in Dec. of '61 without cymbals. The cymbals were purchased separately. It was a Christmas/Birthday gift since he was born on Dec. 26th.

Early 60 trademarks except for the last one which is late 50's

The early 60's was still a good era for Zildjian. Avedis III was still running things back then.

No. On 2nd thought:

I'm going to 2nd guess myself on that last one. That looks an awful lot like a large stamp.

Would you please measure the vertical height of that one?

I'd say late 50s - early 60s.

They're really nice drums. I bet they sound really nice.

I'm not 100% sure I like drums made in the USA. Not because of anything bad from them, but I just don't like the manufacturing of them.

Really neat ones though, you're very lucky.
