Sent John (jonnistix) a text earlier today to make sure he is ok. I have not heard back yet. He lives very close to that area. If anyone hears from him, please post it here.

Thanks,

John

Just watched some of the devastation on the evening news... our thoughts go out to all of the effected families.. Hoping that it ends, wondering, just how hard it will be to recover from something so mammoth...

Take care, all of you in the path of this freakish weather pattern...

John

Got a text back today from jonnistix. Apparently he is fine. Good to see the death toll is lower that previously thought. Hopefully it will stay there (low).

I saw it live on the weather channel, have been praying since then. Two years ago I built a free kitchen for a family in Tuscaloosa Alabama who lost everything in that big tornado. Me and my one employee delivered the cabinets and installed them. It took six months from the time the tornado struck to us delivering the cabinets, and I called Habitat for Humanity one week after the tornado.

We were shocked at what we saw, six months after the tornado there was still hundreds of damaged properties still in a pile of rubble.

So say a prayer and open your check book to the American Red Cross, they need it.

Thank you!

Terrible affect this storm had. It looks like a war zone. Feel so bad hearing the losses in this one. Seems early in the year for a storm of this magnitude, no?

Heart's out.

From Gilnar

Just reading the news. Quite unimaginable for an European. I hope all our members and their loved ones from the area are ok.

Gilnar: Nice of you to send well wishes from Prague. This tragedy is equally unimaginable for those of us who don't live in the Midwest where tornados seem commonplace. Here in the Northern states, we endure blizzards, the Southern states are targets for hurricanes, and the west coast has to put up with earthquakes. It seems extreme natural conditions can strike anywhere anytime, but when disasters and tragedies like this strike, it's the prayers and support from good people that bring relief to the victims. I support the Red Cross and the Salvation Army, because they are always the firsts ones to respond in times of need, and 100% of donations make it to those in need.

Prayers for hope and recovery to all those affected by the devastation.
