Good price for an excellent kit. Man, those things smoke. Good luck on the sale.
Oil Rubbed Finish RBS-1 (6 piece)!!!!! Great Condition
Beautiful drums! I wish I could buy them!
When I went shopping for a new drum kit back in 1999, I looked at all the contenders. I didn't like any of the popular drums (like DW and Yamaha) and wanted something a little different.
When I saw the Peavey RadialPro 1000 line, I was smitten! It was exactly what I wanted. The drums sounded great and they looked great (as far as I was concerned). But, then I saw an Arbiter AT kit and knew it was what I wanted even more than the Peaveys. So, I bought the Arbiter kit, instead.
But I decided that the Peavey RP1000 snare drum sounded better than the Arbiter snare drum, so I bought the Peavey snare instead.
About a year later, I was contacted by someone who had a really GOOD-sounding Arbiter AT snare that was a perfect match to my kit. So, I bought the Arbiter snare and shelved the Peavey snare.
Subsequently, I have a near-mint Peavey RP1000 snare in BLACK OIL (like yours!) sitting in its original box with all the original packing material, brochures, etc., that hasn't been touched in nearly a decade. I am looking to sell it, too. I won't let it go for less than $400.00 + S/H. I have seen them sell for a lot less than that, but mine is almost like brand-new and that was what I paid for it back then, so that's that!
Anyway, if your kit is in really REALLY good shape, then $2K is a fair price. If there is even the slightest thing wrong with it, then that price will be hard to get in the current market. Condition is everything, but especially with these drums because they are notorious for getting dinged up.
