Loading...

Stupid question alert... :Santa:

I have been buying and selling drum kits off ebay, the local papers etc..some kits have no cymbals. my question is Does anyone have an idea where to buy or get ahold of el cheapo no name brand cymbals so i could throw them in with a set of drums.

Besides ebay and CList...is there a company that sells these cheapies?

eFlay is actually cheaper than any place a mere mortal can buy - unless you have a reseller's license. Heck just buy up some ZBT's or Sabian B8's or Paiste 302's or 201's- or worse yet just some old Pearl or Camber cymbals.

Might try your local pawn shops... go in informed with some solid price info like current ebay auctions and craigslist sales. Sometimes that helps set the price.

It's a good time to hit the pawn shops as people sell stuff to get a little holiday money.

Also you might look at Goodwill auctions.

Example... http://www.shopgoodwill.com/viewItem.asp?ItemID=5614989

or maybe.. http://pulsemusic.en.alibaba.com/product/202861745-200096931/Pulse_HE_series_cymbal_set.html

I would stay away from pawnshops, They will want $135.00 for a cheap $20.00 camber cymbal.

Yep.. they sure will try that. But ... go in educated and make a fair and honest offer based on solid research. They either take it or leave it.

Funny you would use that example ... I did buy some Camber high hats to sell with a Mapex Venus kit I had picked up cheap ... price for the hats.. $20.00
