I just listed a 1968 Acro on ebay. I did a cosmetic refurb, and have new heads and wires... it did turn out well, if I say so myself! Free shipping in USA

I must say, although I'm not a ludwig guy, that snare looks awesome, you did an amazing job on it. why you selling>? I assume since I know little about these, that with the parts you replaced its not original right? in any event, I bet it sounds killer. I'm almost tempted to buy it just to have one.

Lots of Slingerland drums

I'm selling it because refurbs and/or restorations are a hobby for me... and I try to break even on some projects.

It's not original because the shell's been changed. I had to get the correct strainer too and add that. In the vintage car biz, a part is "correct" if it is the same part that was used on that model in that year. Some changes have been made, yes, but except for the shell the changes to improve the appearance have been done using correct parts.

So, original? Absolutely maybe!

:D

Thanks, Mick -- I'll pass it on to Todd, the polishing guy. He's done a bunch of stuff for me, all small items like pedals and stuff. Always a great job.

He's a real character. One man show with a shop that looks like a small warehouse. I think he lives there, too. When it comes to prices, he pretty much pulls a number out of thin air. I've never argued with him about it.... because it's always worth it, and I enjoy going to his shop, and he's a fun guy to know.

I'll let him know, next time I see him.
