new vintage style drum made

Hi Folks, I want to share my latest project/product. It's a 14 x 7 snare drum. This time I made it look like classic drums I've seen before. The wrap is pre-aged diamond pearl. Lugs are replica's, Throw and butt are Gibraltar. The shell I build myself; it's oregon pine (love that smell!), segmented and it's 20 mm. thick. Round-over edges, inside 45 degrees.

Tunes like a breeze, is loud, has abig fat crack, but the tone is mellow. Little overtone, sounds pre-eq'ed.

I love the little bits of wood between the lugs and the wrap. Classy looking snare.

Absolutely beautiful with first-class workmanship! I'm also curious about the hardware gaskets. What are they made of?

Thank you all for your compliments. The material is cork. I bought it on a holiday in Portugal . Every holiday i try to bring something home to use in a drum. Im currently working on a shell from a branch of very hard mediteranian oak i took home from croatia this summer

Your joinery is so good.

I would like a segmented drum like that with no wrap.

Just a clear coat over the wood.

Would you make one for me?

Outstanding work Sir
