New to me drums: Gretsch bop kit!

Check these out... Picked them up last week: 18/12/14, Gretsch. Round Badge bass drum, Stop Sign Badge toms. I can't begin to describe how great they sound and feel, cranked up - just like they should be.

Extra screw holes in bass drum and tom from the Yamaha tom mount. One missing internal muffler from the 12. No Pratt Muffler. Unoriginal floor tom legs. All badges intact. No holes in 14.

I'm in heaven.

Very cool. The stained natural finish is something of a rarity from that era, particularly the RB bass drum. Nice score!

Saw this for sale. Good deal/Smart buy. You'll get the sound you wanted and have a few spare $$ for a K cymbal!

Awesome!

A great old kit you can play and enjoy. Sort of like a “resto-mod” car. Not the perfect meuseum example but you don’t cry with every stone chip either.

Play the heads off it!

Nice walnut Gretsch drum set to play and enjoy... (*note) take a very close look at your RB badge on the bass drum... see how small the vent hole is... well that's not the correct badge type for a RB bass drum... that's a RB snare drum badge... do you mind telling me what your bass drum serial number is?

I think your bass drum is actually a early SSB due to the smaller size hole in the RB badge on the bass drum but otherwise a pretty sweet little bop kit.
