Contact Evans at 1-800-DADARIO They make oddball size drum heads or an evens dealer it must be ordered derect from Evans. Most stores do not carry because of slow sales and oddballs.

Company's like Remo do not make these sizes.

From Ron_M

Do I see three plies?

Yes, you do! Good eyes. The re-rings appear to be maple. Looks like they used strips of pre-fab 'molding' for the reinforcement rings! Interesting.

Well that is going to be a couple problems with that. The hoop is really thin so it would probably be a problem, plus it would probably would be expensive as hell to ship it to Sweden!

BUT, I know a guy on the opera in Stockholm who is great at this stuff so we are going to make a ring and a wrap a calfskin.

Completely off-topic, but Ghod, the women are gorgeous in Sweden! If I help you with your project, will you let me date your sister?

Do you think it's worth it? I mean since I'm playing in orchestras more than drum sets, calfskin is pretty much standard in most classical music.

And if you were to help me, It'd be a problem with my sister, since she don't exist, but you can date my imaginary sister if you wan't!

The cat mentioned Sweden and my brain was flooded by images of women with long blond hair and bodies only *Bode' can imagine!

John

* For the younger cats that are not familiar with Bode'... he used to draw pictures of some of the hottest women you'll ever see! As a young teen-ager, I ahem, ahem, 'read' a lot of Playboy magazines. Bode's art was a monthly feature. They were called; Bode' Broads! Google him. You won't be disappointed!

Okay we went slightly of topic but fair enough. Swedish girls have a tendency of being really hot, I mean american top model is a joke in Sweden since they are pretty much the same as an everyday girl here.

BUT! to get back to topic. Would you recommend me going to a great percussionist who can make me a head with perfect fit and can guarantee greatness for approximately $100, or buy an evans head that I can't guarantee fit for "I don't know how much with shipping and tull and taxes and everything else that will cast me"? The snare is, as earlier mentioned in a weird measurement, 34,4cm= 13,543307 inches, do they make heads for any measurement or do they have the pre-international-measurements only?

BUMP! I'd really like some feedback on this! By the way, are there any people using calfskin heads for drum set these days?
