Need Slingerland snare help

Just picked this up and I'm not sure what it exactly is. It unfortunately has a Ludwig P-83 strainer and I'm thinking that the extra holes might have been for a 3 point strainer, which I think are rare? I have never seen this kind of muffler before - maybe an add-on. There are also extra holes for, what I think is, the standard muffler - did they ever have 2? The stamp inside the shell is reads P-020. It does have a black and gold badge that has lifted up a bit and is wrinkled. The WMP wrap is in great condition. It also came with cheap looking rims (not stick savers) and long t-rods with clips. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Looks like maybe a Student Model Radio King that has had a couple of mufflers added in it's life.

About early 1956 with the black and brass badge and since it used to have a 3-point strainer.

Is it eight lugs?.... Can't tell from here?

Yep, 8 lugs. I think it may be this one since it came with non stick saver rims and t-rods with clips like this:

Makes sense since the seller told me he got it from a school surplus sale. Think that "weird" muffler was added? Any idea where I could get a 3 point strainer?

Rare like hens' teeth....

Expect to pay $125 to $175 for one in nice shape.

Don't make the mistake of buying one of the Leedy 3-pointers or the repros... the mounting pattern does not match.

Sometimes an old marcher will come in under the radar on eBay with one on it.... that's how I got one I needed one time.

If you find one with the lever arm missing for $50 or less, get it...

Jim Petty makes repro arms and the thumbscrews for the arms for about $40 each. I'm going that route myself for an incomplete one I have.

Yep, the muffler on it and the extra holes for another were not factory on a Student RK.... no muffler on the Student Model RK.
