Looks to be a 60's Supra like you mentioned. That should be a 70's drum with Oyster Blue wrap. They commonly called that version of the wrap "Bowling Ball".

How many pieces came with the drum set? Do you have any pics of the whole thing together? The snare is definitely a supraphonic from either late 1967 or early 1968. Sometimes snares like that will have a date stamp. Look inside the airvent where the badge is and you might see a black ink date stamp on the other side of the shell.

I'm guessing the other pieces are 1973 or later. More pics of the whole thing and the interiors of the oyster blue shells would help.

I'm not a drum expert & bought the set for the snare because I knew it had value. I figured the other pieces weren't worth much if anything. The set included Ludwig 8x12, 9x13, 16x16, 14x22, bass drum pedal (incomplete), cymbal stand, & a couple other pieces I'm not sure of. The smaller drums have had the bottom hoops removed. The hoops are there but the hardware (bolts??) to attach them is missing. There was also a couple of Tama stands that may or may not be missing parts & a Tama T5150 electric bass drum. I picked these up yesterday & haven't had a chance to clean them. Looks like they have 30 years of dirt on them. There is some separation of the laminate from the drum at the seam on the 16x16.

Although I'm a music fan & play a little guitar very badly I bought the set to resell.

The snare is easy enough to clean up & resell. The set is a whole different animal.

Obviously condition dictates value but I don't know enough about drums to evaluate condition. They are filthy, have some corrosion/rust on the hardware, aren't complete, have laminate lifting on a couple, and have some storage and use marks on the finish. Having said that, the plywood is still strong & the hardware is tight. Here's a few more pictures.

3 ply shells with re-rings! Good stuff. Probably a Hollywood kit with the 22/12/13/16 setup. This could easily be transformed into a great looking set with nice value as well.

Actually the rest of the drums would be where the value lies. The snare drum is worth a bit due to being a keystone badged version but is probably the most common snare drum ever made (it has been in continuous production since 1964 to present day) and has such the price tends to be held down by the ample supply. They all pretty much sound the same. The other drums, however are from a coveted era and in a popular finish (not one of my favorites but a lot of folks like it a lot).

Yet again, someone finds the Ludwig drum kit finish i've always wanted....

I've cleaned most of the dirt & dust off the set. I saw a very similar set on eBay that recently sold for $1200. They looked like they were very well preserved or had been refinished. Mine have some surface rust on the hardware, have some separation of the wrap at the seams, are missing some small hardware pieces, & probably need new heads. Appear to be all original with cosmetic issues but probably playable with a little work. Anyone care to give a ballpark number or range of what someone looking for a set might pay?

I've been talking with a couple local people about buying the set. So far no bites. I'm thinking the 4 drums should easily sell for $400 as is. Am I way off in either direction with that number?
